The flushing and rash associated with rosacea can lead to lower self confident and even depression. The face is often sensitive and the affected area can feel hot or sting.

The exact cause of rosacea isn’t fully understood, it seems the defect lies in the blood vessels which dilate too easily. Rosacea is mainly with those that have fair skin who flush easily and it is more common in women than in men.

There is no cure but our long-term treatments can be very effective.

We have a wealth of expertise in treating rosacea and approach each case with sensitivity and care. Using the latest laser technology, sometimes in combination with other treatments, we effectively treat rosacea with great results.

Rosacea usually starts with a leaning to blush easily. After a while, the central areas of the face become a lasting deeper shade of red, with small enlarged blood pots studded with small red bumps and pus-filled spots that come and go in crops. Occasionally, there may be some swelling of the facial skin (lymphoedema), specifically around the eyes. Occasionally, an overgrowth of the oil-secreting glands on the nose may cause the nose to become inflamed, bulbous and red (called rhinophyma). Rhinophyma is more collective in men than women.

Here at Shadi Danin Medi-Spa we believe in an specific approach for each persistent that approaches us for treatment. We begin with a consultation, during which we look at the current crust management regime, including all the products the patient may be using. The medical history of the tolerant is taken and an examination of the skin is carried out to assess the current situation. We then inform the patient about the products and treatments which would have benefit.

Full estimate for the products and laser treatments are explained at your consultation visit and the patient is under no compulsion to make any conclusions at that time. We always encourage people to consider the information before boarding on any course of treatment, although it is usually possible to start treatment at the same visit is so anticipated by the patient.

HOW REGULARLY DO I NEED TO HAVE TREATMENT?

During consultation our expert will discuss with you the best course of treatment(s).

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?

IPL – slight redness and swelling may occur following treatment. Pigmented areas may darken for 1-7 days following treatment, bruising may occurs it will normally clear up within 1 to 7 days.

There is always the slight possibility of developing a crust or blister. This is superficial, and rarely results in any scarring and is treated like sunburn or any other blister.

The treated areas will probably heal without any pigment changed, however there is always the slight chance that hyper pigmentation may occur (darker) or hypo pigmentation (lighter) of the area may occur. These are temporary and will fade within 1-6 months. Sun exposure must be avoided 3-4 weeks prior to therapy and after, as sun exposure may intensify hyper pigmentation. It is rare that a change is ever permanent.

Rosacea can be worsened by natural sunlight, sunblock is strongly advisable, avoid hot showers and sweaty workouts for 24 hours.
Do not rub or scrub your face as this can make rosacea worse
Do not use perfumed soap, use a soap substitute (emollient) to cleanse your face.
Use non-perfumed moisturiser if your skin is sensitive or dry.
